Care Camps Foundation’s Funding Supports COCA Member Camps and COCA

Care Camps Foundation, a bi-national nonprofit organization, proudly supports pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada so children with cancer can experience joy, belonging, and the healing power of the outdoors at no cost to their families.

Through a partnership with the Children’s Oncology Camping Association (COCA), Care Camps Foundation provides consistent, unrestricted funding each year solely to COCA member camps to help them deliver safe, accessible, medically supervised experiences where kids get to be kids and families find community.

In 2025, Care Camps Foundation awarded grant funding to 125 pediatric oncology camps – 109 in the U.S. and 16 in Canada. Collectively, these camps served over 47,000 individuals – children living with cancer, siblings, parents, and other family members. (See Care Camps Foundation’s 2025 Pediatric Oncology Camps Impact Summary.)

Additionally, Care Camps provides annual funding to COCA to support the implementation of quality assurance policies and practices for their member camps through their Gold Ribbon Accreditation Program. Also, funding is given to support COCA’s Annual Conference (COCAcon) and webinars for their member camps throughout the year.
